Vestry Serving Trinity

Krista Baker - Bishop's Warden

Krista and her husband Tim greatly appreciate Trinity Episcopal Church and what it contributes to their lives in northeast Missouri. Krista was appointed Bishop's Warden at Trinity in 2008. Krista and her husband Tim have been members of Trinity Episcopal Church since 2005 when they moved to Missouri from Alabama. Krista was active in the Altar Guild, Centering Prayer, the Search Committee, Stewardship campaigns and the Capital Campaign at St. Andrew's Episcopal in Birmingham, Alabama where she was a member for 16 years. Krista is a retired BellSouth Telecommunication Project Manager and now works part time at the Truman State University Press. Krista and Tim enjoy spending time with friends and family, those in the Kirksville area and those who visit from the South.

Maria Evans--Junior Warden

Maria Evans is a 5th generation northeast Missourian originally from Macon, MO. As Junior Warden, she is responsible for Trinity's building and grounds. Although she grew up in another denomination, she feels a special kinship to Trinity's physical building because the church building of her childhood was designed by Trinity's architect. Maria says, "The first time I ever set foot in Trinity, I had this odd sense that I was "home". When not puttering around the church property, Maria, board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, is busy as an owner of BBPL/Chariton labs, teaching osteopathic medical students as an Associate Professor at A.T. Still University--Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and pretending to be a donkey and mule rancher on her 35 acre "hobby farm." Maria also enjoys blogging in her spare time, including authoring her blog Kirkepiscatoid, at http://kirkepiscatoid.blogspot.com

Wynne Wilbur

Wynne has attended Trinity since 2003, shortly after moving here to teach ceramics at Truman State University. She is active in the choir and the string ensemble. This is her first term on the Bishop’s Committee where she serves as Clerk. When not working in her ceramics studio, she is out gardening in her yard and enjoying the company of her three cats Nori, Simon, and Temi.

Jessie Cragg

The granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Episcopal clergy, Jessie is a cradle Episcopalian who grew up in Augusta, Georgia. After consecutive careers in trust investment and law enforcement administration, she is "kind of" retired and is known in Kirksville as a retail queen who has worked in no less than five downtown stores. At Trinity Jessie sings in the choir, is an Altar Guild member, has served several terms on Bishop's Committee and as Convention delegate, and has been ECW Treasurer. Singing and cycling are her mental health therapies, often done at the same time. Her husband, grown daughter, and two canine people complete her family.

Pete Kelly

Pete is a relative newcomer to Trinity as a member since 2006. He was married in the church on May 26th, 2007. It was while standing at the altar that he realized he had found a new and important spiritual community at Trinity. Pete teaches in the education department at Truman State University and is the Director of the Professional Development School Partnership in special education with the Kirksville Schools. After helping to raise four kids, Pete loves biking, kayaking, fishing, gardening and cooking for family and friends.

Laura Gruber

Laura Gruber is a life long Episcopalian, daughter of an Episcopal priest and works at the Northeast Regional Hospital in Kirksville. Laura is completing her second year on the Bishop’s Committee.
